What I thought
Not deep, but genuinely fun. Brown is very good at making history feel like a game you get to play alongside the characters, and I like that. There is something comforting about a story where the world runs on hidden meanings and the smart, curious person always finds the door. Read it for the pace, the twists and the small thrill of feeling clever every time a symbol clicks into place.
